Every morning before most people are awake, our Grocery Rescue volunteers are already on the move. They visit 15 grocery stores across Davis County, picking up donations of fresh produce, dairy, bakery items, and deli goods. Without this program, much of that food would go to waste. Instead, it’s brought back to the pantry and distributed the very same day.
This is a hands-on volunteer opportunity where you can see the impact right away. You’ll work as part of a team, collect food donations, and load them into our trucks. By the end of each shift, you’ll know you’ve put nutritious meals on tables that same evening.
One longtime volunteer said:
“The best part is knowing this food isn’t being wasted. It goes straight to people who need it and we get to be the link that makes it possible.”
Volunteer Shifts Available:
Monday–Friday, 7:00–10:15 AM
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9:30 AM–12:30 PM
