Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie Soup
Ingredients
1½ lbs. chicken or 2 cans canned chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 cups chicken broth
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut
3 cloves garlic, minced, or 2 tsp. garlic powder
1 (12 oz.) bag fresh or frozen vegetables
1 small onion, diced, or 2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. dried thyme
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
2 tsp. oregano
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
3 tbsp. butter
Directions:
1. Add the chicken, broth, vegetables, onion, garlic, and seasonings to a crockpot. If using canned chicken, add it near the end along with the butter and cream of chicken soup.
2. Cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
3. 30 minutes before serving, add the cream of chicken soup and butter.
4. Stir well and serve.
5. Taste and add additional salt and pepper as desired.
Serve with bread, crackers, rice, or mashed potatoes for a hearty meal.
